An insert replacement keeps a suitable existing frame; a full-frame replacement replaces the window and frame. Share photos and opening details so your specialist and installer can determine the right approach.

Think about ventilation, views and reach. Casement and awning windows open outward, while a picture window stays fixed. Consider walkways outside, furniture inside and the ease of operating each window in its actual location.
Replacement scope
Photos of interior trim, exterior trim and the existing frame help start the discussion. An insert may retain a suitable frame; a full-frame project changes more of the opening. Have the installer assess condition and confirm the appropriate method.
